Enjoy English with Lenka - Disgusting boss.

Enjoy English with L*a, Palma Del Río - Córdoba I worked here from August 2020 to May 2021. Teachers, please be careful. I was naive but I’ve learnt lots and I want others to be careful. •I worked a few weeks in August without having a NIE, she paid me cash in hand •the nationality on my work contract was incorrect •the ‘educación de estudios’ section of my contract was incorrect •the ‘grupo profesional’ section of my contract was incorrect. She put me down as an assistant teacher when in fact I was the teacher. This meant I had a lower salary (in line with the convenio) but with the responsibility of a teacher •she tried to count the Christmas break as my holidays even though I never agreed to it nor did she inform me beforehand •she pretended she didn’t know her employees were entitled to any vacation or finiquito •she provided absolute zero training despite promising paid training •she made several modifications to my contract throughout the year and I never signed anything •she never gave nominas unless I asked for them and she never made me sign them nor did she •every single nomina had a lower salary and I had to ask her to transfer me the remainder. This meant that she was paying less social security •the finiquito was payed late •some colleagues were owed finiquito and vacation from the year before even though their contract ended, she then claimed the money continuation into the future year •our contract ended 31st May but to our surprise she told us that we cannot claim benefits because she put us on holiday until 15th June even though we never signed nor agreed to anything •she wanted us to come in out of our contract hours to discuss things If you’re thinking about working here – don’t. If you're thinking about working in an academy, educate yourself about your rights, a very useful page is TEFL Transparency in Spain on Facebook.
