My wife and I used to live in a unit at 70 Spadina Road. It was the first place our baby girl lived after she was born. I was teaching at U of T, and my wife was taking courses part-time, so it was the perfect location for us. We’ve since moved to the ‘burbs (Toronto was too expensive), but we always say that if we could live in any part of downtown again, it would be in the Annex. We have a very sentimental connection to the area because we started our family there. I was looking up the postal code for 70 Spadina Road the other day for a housing history I had to complete, and came across the negative reviews around bed bugs. They made me pretty mad and I wanted to set the record straight. As parents, we would never have put our baby in danger like that. We never had problems with bed bugs at 70 Spadina Road, and we loved living in that building as well as that area. Everyone in the building was great, including the management at Wynn Group. If people were having problems with bed bugs, I would guess they’ve brought them with them, or the problem is contained to their unit.
