Ronnie Optics Plaza Merdeka Kchg. - Bad opticians!

I went to this opticians on the 25th of November 2016 and wanted to get glasses. 8 usually wear contact lenses, but the optician (Chinese guy) did not ask me about my prescription or anything. He told me it's fine, I will check your eyes. So trusting him I was then given glasses.... my left eye was "1.00" and my right eye was "1.75". I went away with my new glasses and realised that I felt a bit dizzy and unbalanced with them on. After wearing them for 30 minutes I got a headache so stopped. The next day I tried to wear them again, thinking that my eyes had to adjust to them. But my left eye just felt very odd. On the second day I decided to wear my contact lenses which were prescribed at -1.5 (from Ronnie optics Oppoh in early October). Never had issues with the contact lenses, so I was thinking that the guy at Merdeka was just wrong. I went back to Ronnie optics in Merdeka on the 27th November (2 days after my first appointment with him). He had the nerve to tell me my eyesight got worse because I decided to wear my contact lenses. I was shocked that he would even suggest that! What professional optician comes out with, contact lenses put strain on your eye and so today your left eye is "-1.75"....from just using the machine to check my eyes. His reasoning is that the eye is a living cell and will change. He did not accept he made a mistake or apologise! He just told me to not wear any lenses, come back in 2-4 days time and do another check up. I went home thinking this was absolute nonsense! How can contact lenses make my eyesight worse from just a few hours of wear on one day?! No way did my eyesight go from 1.00 to 1.75 in two days! At this rate I would be blind in my left eye by Christmas! I didn't wear lenses for a whole week and went to seek a second opinion. My husband and in laws always spoke highly of the original Ronnie optics in Oppoh so I went back there to consult the optician. The optician, Helen, informed me that my eyes cannot change that quickly. Checked on the machine and then using actual lenses. She confirmed my left eye was -1.25 and my right eye was -1.75. She even gave me brand new lenses in my glasses for free! I had perfectly good lenses in my glasses in less than 20 minutes! No payment whatsoever! So if you need to go to an opticians....never go to Ronnie optics in Plaza Merdeka! They will screw you over just to cover their back as they think their the expert! Seek a professional optician!
