Church Of The Blessed Sacrament Labuan - Memory Lane

My name is Quentin Hall, and with my wife Valerie and our children we were based in Labuan for SSPC from November 1986 to January 1988. We attended Blessed Sacrament Church regularly - in those days Fr John v/d Zalm was the PP, but as he was based in KK, we had a 'Priestless Prayer Service' every other week. We also attended the Charismatic Prayer Group on occasions. We all have fond memories of Labuan - no doubt the Island will have changed a lot since then. Our favourite eating place was the Labuan Island Club on Sunday evenings; many boating trips to Usukan Kecil and riding horses up on North Beach. This Church is part of my Faith journey, and now I am a Permanent Deacon in Brentwood, Essex (UK) Cathedral. I keep your parish in my prayers and trust that many will come to know the Lord Jesus as their Personal Saviour.
