Villa Azul - Turks and Caicos Islands - EG & Colin - This place is a SCAM

This place was a total scam. I was looking to find a romantic getaway for my wife and I on our honeymoon, and I stumbled upon the "Villa with Private Pool" listing at Villa Turque. My wife's #1 request was that we stay somewhere with a private pool, and when I saw the photos of the private pool at Villa Turque, I thought it would be absolutely perfect. I went to book the property, and the property owner wanted me to pay through Venmo, which I thought was very odd. I decided to use the Venmo purchase protection feature to pay for this booking just in case it happened to be a scam, and boy did it turn out to be. First off, the home is on the furthest end of the island, essentially out in no man's land and not close to anything, so be aware of this if you somehow decide to book after reading this. When we arrived at the property, the property manager greeted us and began giving us a tour of the home. Everything seemed to be going alright until we arrived at the "private pool". It was non-existent. The beautiful private pool with crystal clear water, surrounded by green grass overlooking the ocean was a total scam. Instead, there was a broken, disheveled, cracked concrete pit in the ground, surrounded by yellow caution tape and dirt. My wife and I were heartbroken. This was our honeymoon, and we could not believe this had happened to us. Immediately after the tour, I got on the phone with a Booking.com representative to explain to them that I booked a "Villa with Private Pool", but there was no private pool. The man explained that this was unacceptable and that I would be receiving a refund after they contacted the property owner. With this, my wife and I scrambled to find another place to stay and try to salvage our honeymoon. By a stroke of luck, we were able to find the Osprey Beach Hotel, and they had a room available. I attempted to call the Villa Turque property owner, but she wouldn't answer my calls. I called at least a dozen times, she never answered once. To this day I still have not received any refund at all from Venmo, Booking, or the property. They advertised a "Villa with Private Pool", and there was no private pool. I truly believe the owner continued to advertise the listing with this title and description so that they could receive bookings during the off season, knowing full well that it would be impossible for renters to get a refund once they find out they were scammed.
