Ok these guys rent there place on Airbnb, I stayed in one house end 2015, really didn't like it, check-out this link for the pictures, it's not really the same pictures.... I travel a lot. I have may be slept in about 500 different places in my life ( mostly hotels it's true) , spent four years in Australia. This one is in the 5 worst ones, possibly the winner! The first thing we request when we go somewhere is that it has to be clean...as long as it is clean, it should be ok. We payed around 800$ for two nights, just after Christmas, the pictures on the website ( some have changed since we have booked) seemed to show something may be a little bit "hippie chic", seemed clean, but we knew it would be kind of surprise when we would arrive. For 800$ for two nights , you are allowed to have some expectations. It's everything but charming, it's lugubrious. I really don't recommend to go to this place, we were so disappointed! It is REALLY DIRTY : No way we would sit in the disgusting sofa outside, we didn't want to sit anywhere but just wanted to go out ...the bathroom and the shower are really dirty, the windows, the floor, I guess vacuuming in corners has NEVER been done! we found some cockroaches on the table when coming back home, I woke up in the night with one next to me in the bed. No towels for the kitchen( but Philippe gave me 2 when I asked), only two towels ( but 3 rugs) for us 4 in the bathroom, the bin was not totally empty when we arrived, the fridge neither, only two plates for us 4... No keys, Flip flops outside the cabin that stayed all our stay, the door of the bathroom is a glassdoor, everybody can see you take your shower or in the toilet. The fan...really noisy... You have to switch it off... you will appreciate... So it's easy to put some pictures that seem to show something correct. You have the impression to have a beautiful view, but for real the cabin is as the pictures shown in the link below and there is really no view from it. Yes your hear birds ( if the fan is not running), yes you see cows, but it's not enough. So: dirty, lugubrious, so overpriced, ABSOLUTELY NO CHARM, I really do not recommend. I've had a look at the main house, seems the same. There are so many nice places to stay in Byron, if you don't have to go there , don't go there. And looks like we are not the first ones to say that, if you look at the latest reviews on Airbnb seems that it's often dirty.
