Whilst still in South Africa I payed a R1000.00 deposit for 1nights say. On our arrival in Luderitz google maps directed us to a different location and we had to ask a local to drive us to the house. Once there we tried phoning but nobody answered the phone nor the door. By sheer luck we found the owner of the house in a restaurant she owns. When we asked after the house she denied owning it and told us that it was a scam. Her staff then told her and us that the house does belong to her when we showed her the photo from the website. The owner only then admitted that it's her house and handed us the key. It looked nothing like the photos and was in need of much repair. We stayed only one night because of the dreadful weather and the reception we got.Again the owner said the weather will clear but her restaurant staff confirmed that the gale force wind we experienced was the norm. A big disappointment. We were appalled by the language and lack of basic hospitality. Never again!
