I have found Dr Venter to be very dismissive. In my early second trimester, I had been diagnosed with a UTI and headaches that made it difficult to function at work. When I asked her if I could get a couple of days off to recover, her answer was “no, that would be unethical”. As if I wasn’t sick! She then offered to give me a sick day for that visit and for a subsequent visit! Which was crazy, because I wouldn’t need one on the subsequent visit. I realized that if she could be that dismissive with me at that point, what if she treats me the same way when I need her the most during labour? I have always trusted my gut and will not be returning to Dr Venter.
First time mom via IUI
I was with Dr AB Venter before and during my pregnancy! She delivered my baby. My baby is 16 months old now and I can't stop thinking about having another baby but I have now moved further from her offices. :-( She is the best and quite compassionate.
