Moriartys Photographic Store - Couldn't Even Take a Passport Photo

I went to this store to get a passport photo taken. The photographer confirmed that he was familiar with the requirements for passport photos and assured me that the photos would be accepted by the Department of Foreign Affairs. I was surprised that he used a small handheld digital camera, rather than a larger professional camera on a tripod. I was told that the photo would be emailed to me, but I wasn't shown the photos that he had taken, or allowed to choose from the shots he had taken. Since I was on holidays, I wasn't able to view the photos on a large screen until I arrived home in Dublin. When I did view the photos on my laptop, they were out of focus and incorrectly centred, and certainly not acceptable for a passport application. Since I was back in Dublin and couldn't return to the shop, I emailed the photographer, explained the situation and requested a refund, but I haven’t received it. It’s unbelievable that a 'professional photographer' with a shop on a main street couldn’t even take an acceptable passport photo. Learn from my experience and take your business elsewhere.
