DO NOT BOOK EMILY!!!! I booked Emily to do the wedding makeup for myself and my 4 bridesmaids ($400 total). On two occasions Emily didn't attend the appointment the first time she forgot (eyebrow wax at her house) and the second was the rain event and she couldn't get out of her place (makeup trial for wedding on my hens night). I made another make up trial which I attended and she was there. After that trial I decided I had changed my mind on the make up I wanted (I had asked for Glam but decided I wanted natural). To ensure I was 100% happy and confident I asked for another trial. I booked this on the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding and took the day off work, I had appointments on the other two days which meant the Wednesday was the last day possible for me to get a trial. I booked online and received an email and txt requesting confirmation. I confirmed the appointment at 12pm the day before. The day of my trial I turned up to Emily's house and no one was home. I phoned her, txt her and Facebook messaged her with no response. I waited 30 mins before I left. After I left I continued to call and message her to no avail (although the Facebook messages were 'seen' early in the afternoon, she just didn't respond). I then decided I couldn't trust her to come to the wedding and do the makeup as she had not turned up on too many occasions and without the trial I wasn't confident in what my makeup would look like. After I found another makeup artist I messaged Emily (Wednesday night) advising her I had done so, I cancelled her service and requested my money back. No surprise, she responded straight away saying she thought I had cancelled the appointment that day and had spent the day at the beach. Emily confirmed she would refund my money. It has now been over 4 months (married beginning of August) and I have only be refunded $100 of the $400 I paid. Emily blocked me from messaging her Facebook page and continued to say she would refund the money. I offered her part payment options as I know sometimes things are hard but only received 2 payments of $50 each. She has read all my messages but will not reply. I messaged her less than a month ago with no reply. DO NOT BOOK EMILY!!!! Your wedding day is one of the most exciting days or your life and no one should have to stress about this. She is not professional at all.
